Join UnderseaX on our seventh and best ever gay scuba expedition to
mind-blowing Palau, home of drift diving with reef hooks and the
extraordinary hold-on-to-your mask Blue Corner. An exotic
former U.S. Trust Territory rich in Micronesian culture and WWII history, Palau offers
electric diving with magnificent walls and drop offs,
huge sea fans, and lots of underwater action.
We plan to dive all of our favorite sites from past trips: Blue Corner, Ulong Channel, Big Dropoff, Siaes Corner and lots more. Plus, this long charter gives us time to explore the virgin Velasco Reefs to the north of the main island group! An optional land tour will be available at Peleliu, and on Friday afternoon we can walk through town, buy storyboards at the jail, and visit the Ethnic Center. On Saturday before departure many of us will choose to kayak among the stunning Rock Islands, while others will relax at the luxurious Palau Pacific Resort.
See
why Palau is considered one of the world's top diving destinations and why we keep going back!

Who should go:
Intermediate
divers (at least 25 logged dives) and advanced divers are
welcome on this expedition. Beginning divers will find strong currents, drift diving, and blue-water safety stops challenging.
Airfare:
The easiest, most direct air connection to Koror, Palau (ROR) is on Continental Airlines.
Due to the
International Date Line, North Americans will need to begin travel on March 24 or sooner. Extra nights at a hotel are available - just ask.
Residents of Europe will probably find it easiest to fly to Koror, Palau via Manila (MNL). Ask us for assistance to find the best fares and connections.
Add-ons:
Depending on the Continental Micronesia flight schedule released in late April, a pre-trip visit to the island of Yap to dive with manta rays and explore the local culture may be possible.
Subject to very limited availability, we can arrange a week on board the Truk Odyssey from April 8-15, 2012 to explore the WWII wrecks of Truk Lagoon.
E-mail us to inquire about either possibility.
Deposit:
Deposit of $1000 is due upon
booking to hold space. Second payment of $1000 due at nine months. Third payment of $1000 due at 180 days. Balance due 120 days prior to departure.
