Immerse yourself in one of the world's most spectacular reef destinations!

Heron Island is a true coral cay, located right on the outer Great Barrier Reef. The island is ribboned by sugar white sands, crystal clear waters and acres of brilliant coral with beautifully colored marine life. At this World Heritage-listed Marine National Park, all flora and fauna are protected, so the island is a nature lover's paradise where the emphasis is on enjoying natural beauty. Stress is replaced by a sense of adventure and days are filled with discovery.

Heron Island is world famous for its fantastic scuba diving and snorkeling. Experience some of Australia's best dive spots - more than 30 dive sites are available, half of which are only 15 minutes away due to the island's location right atop the outer Great Barrier Reef. This southern area of the reef has, to date, experienced very little coral bleaching due to cooler water temperatures.

Heron also offers many activities for non-divers such as guided island and reef walks, semi-submersible cruises and private beach picnics. An amazing array of animal and bird life can be discovered throughout the year, such as the delightful Green and Loggerhead turtles, nesting during our visit.

At Heron Island, you won't see any buildings above the treeline, as the resort has been thoughtfully designed to blend with the surrounding environment. We've reserved a variety of room packages to fit all budgets:

Turtle Room                 $2495 Queen bed only
Reef Room                  $2595 Partial ocean vews
Beachside Room        $2695 Spacious beachfront upgrade
Wistari Suite                $2995 Luxury upgrade with A/C

Learn more about the room types here. All are cooled by natural sea breezes, and Wistari Suites are also air-conditioned.

All rates are per person, double occupancy in US Dollars. Special rates for Australia and New Zealand residents available - contact us for details.
